Another (creative) shock in the world of social media? – must be from the social media giant Meta. It is now vibing on the world’s creative flow of AI.
Meta is once again reshaping how we as individuals create and consume content. Now it’s VIBES – a new video feed inside the Meta AI app. This is accessible via meta.ai on PC.Unlike Instagram Reels or TikTok, where videos are shot and edited by creators, Vibes is powered by AI-generated clips, opening up a whole new way for users to engage with short-form video.
But what EXACTLY is Vibes?

Simply said, Vibes is like a hybrid between ‘REELS’ and ‘AI image/video generators’. Just type in an image generation prompt and see the magic of Meta transform it into a dynamic short video.
JUST IMAGINE! – A Social Media Platform just for AI contents!
That’s not just all, users can also:-
- Remix Existing AI Videos shown in the feed, and add their own styles, music or filters.
- Upload Personal Photos/Videos and then let VIBES re-imagine them in different styles.
- Share Contents directly on the VIBES feed or you can also cross-post these on your other Meta platforms like Facebook or Instagram.
Importantly said, every AI-generated video includes the prompt used in its caption, so others can see (and replicate) the creative process.
Things are Familiar

Vibes won’t be a hassle to drive. You don’t have to think – Ah! another social media platform with its own unique interface – not so accustomed and all that. The interface of Vibes will feel instantly familiar: Swipe through videos, tap to like, comment, share, or use the three dot menu to mute, block or report.
The only thing? Unlike other social media short video platforms – the feed is entirely AI-driven, blending user creativity with machine generation. Like another application of Meta, recommendations will get personalized based on your interactions over time.
And how does this matter?
- Lowering the barrier to content creation – Anyone can now make visually engaging videos without a curation of professional editing. No one could in here could need film-making skills to weave unique, cinematic-quality contents.
- Differentiating from TikTok – Meta thought of future. Whilst TikTok thrives on user-shot creativity, Meta is betting big on AI to drive the next wave of short-form content.
- Endless Remix Culture – Just like memes, AI videos can evolve into uniqueness and share-ability build on each other user’s prompts and ideas.
- Integration Across Platform – Vibes is designed to flow into Meta’s entire ecosystem. By enabling sharing to Instagram and Facebook, users can easily circulate their creativity.
There is no Rose without a Thorn –
Of course, the experimental VIBES comes with its own set of risks:
- Quality control – AI videos sometimes look glitchy or unrealistic. Too much low-quality output could hurt adoption.
- Misinformation potential – Deepfakes or misleading AI videos may spread if not properly moderated.
- Copyright & legal issues – Remixing existing media or using copyrighted elements could spark disputes.
- Sustaining user interest – Once the novelty of AI videos fades, Meta will need strong creator tools and incentives to keep engagement high.
So, to wrap it up—Meta’s Vibes is like Reels and TikTok had a baby, and that baby was raised by AI. The cool part? I don’t even need to dance, lip-sync, or find good lighting anymore—I can just type ‘me chilling on a beach in Maldives with a coconut’ and voilà, instant vacation reel (minus the tan). But jokes aside, this is a big shift: content creation is no longer limited to cameras, it’s about imagination. And if you ask me, we’re all about to become part-time directors with a full-time AI crew.
